ABOUT

Lola's Labradoodles is located in Niceville, Florida.  I can't think of a better place to raise these loyal, beautiful dogs.  Before Labradoodles entered our life, my husband and I were in the US Air Force and the British Royal Air Force. We are now retired and can devote our full attention to breeding these incredible dogs.  I bought my first labradoodle, Maisey, from my friend and mentor Becky Puckett of Lovable Labradoodles in Atascadera, California. I fell in love with these gentle, lovable, often clown-like canines!  I'm so excited to be a part of this community of Doodle lovers! Our focus is on QUALITY not quantity.  Lola's Labradoodles is a small, "boutique" breeding program in which we strive to raise happy, healthy and well socialized dogs.  We raise our puppies in our home with our son and 2 other non-labradoodles to ensure they get plenty of love and attention.  We believe one of the things that sets us apart from other breeders is we give our adopted families lots of individual time and attention.  We spend as much time needed to ensure families are comfortable adopting our pups.  We also believe in the Avidog philosophy and use their techniques for raising brave, independent puppies.  We focus on socialization and early mental development for our puppies.  This includes handling them daily and exposing them to new things during every aspect of their growth.  We have several friends with chiIdren come over to help social the puppies for EVERY litter! I promise you will not be disappointed when you add one of these lovable, furry babies to your family.  We look forward to meeting you!

OUR MOTIVATION

We also feel these incredible dogs are the perfect companion for our injured soldiers.  Each year, we donate a puppy to Emerald Coast Wounded Warrior  foundation.  Serving as a nurse in the Air Force, I've always felt strongly we need to give back to our brave soldiers who were injured during their time in service to our nation.  Our first donation was our extremely calm, beautiful Turquoise Girl.  She was named "Meli" by her family which is Greek for "honey". The name fits her perfectly!  Donating her to this family, was a match made in heaven. She is with a great family who loves her very much, but she is also helping her owner heal from his injuries inflicted during the war.  She has even met the President of the United States George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush!  She has become a great Service Dog for Ken and his family.

OUR COMMITMENT

Lola's Labradoodles welcomes your questions anytime.  We want you to feel comfortable with your decision to purchase this beautiful breed.  These dogs are very intelligent and want to be your companion.  Our Labradoodles are ready to begin training as soon as they go to their new homes.  We work really hard to ensure they are handled with lots of love early on to ensure you leave with a puppy who is well socialized and not afraid of things such as people and loud noises.  These dogs are people pleasers and thrive on games that stimulate their brains.  When you purchase a labradoodle from us, you are purchasing a lifetime of advice and guidance.  We are here to help with any training concerns you have and we provide a nice starter booklet to get you and your puppy off to a great start!

THE AUSTRALIAN  LABRADOODLE

The Australian Labradoodle is almost consistently a low to non-shedding dog with beautiful fleece or wool coats as there have been many years involved in producing this wonderful and friendly dog.  Because of its temperament and allergy friendly coats, these dogs were originally created in Australia to be a service dog.  The history and story of its beginning is very interesting and informative and can be easily researched on the Internet for more detailed information.  Here is a summary taken from the Australian Labradoodle Club of America:

"The Australian Labradoodle is different from all other labradoodles.  In the early days, the Australian Labradoodle was simply a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Standard Poodle.  Dogs from this cross typically were bred to each other over future generations, whereby the Australian dogs are also know as "Multi-generational" Labradoodles.  Then, in the late 1980's, Tegan Park and Rutland Manor, the two founders of the Australian Labradoodle as we know it today, began carefully infusing several other breeds into early generations of their Lab/Poodle crosses, to improve temperament, coat, conformation, and size.  The infused breeds include Irish Water Spaniel as well as the American and English Cocker Spaniel.  The resulting labradoodles subsequently have been bred to each other, continuing the multi-generational tradition.  Today, Australian Labradoodles are wonderful, intelligent dogs with lush coats that are more reliably low to non-shedding and allergy friendly than other types of Labradoodles such as first generation Lab/Poodle crosses, or first generation crosses bred back to Poodles.  Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, as the attributes of the infused breeds were not included in their ancestry"

Besides the consistently wonderful coats in the Australian Labradoodle, it is different in it's breeding because it is made up of at least one-third breed beyond the Lab/Poodle cross. Originally there were up to five breeds involved in its creation.  It has been recently decided by the major Labradoodle Associations, here and in Australia - the parent breeds for this beautiful dog will be the Lab, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel. There is a wealth of information online describing this beautiful and fun dog.  We recommend a thorough research of various generations, sizes, colors, and coat types prior to purchasing a dog.  Currently, Lola's Labradoodles breeds the Australian Multigen Labradoodle in medium to standard sizes.
